The cook is still sick. That is not a good thing in our house. You see when the cook is sick, the girls cannot help with dinner. They cannot put the vegetables in the food processor and watch the processor chop, dice or slice them. They cannot lick the spoon or fork to sample the food. “More salt, please.” They cannot give a suggestion about what should be on tonight’s menu. When the cook is sick there is “When will dinner be done? or Is it ready yet?” When the cook is sick, his girls miss him.
“Honey, please get well soon. I cannot order another take out. Plus we need you to cook again.” (He’s happy when he’s cooking.)
